What does the getter board do for the 11-065 sputter gun controller. Does the sputter gun have a getter type pump?
Can we remove it?

The getter board provides voltage to the getter pump that the very early 04-303 ion guns had. You do not see the getter pumps much any more so you most likely do not have one. But you still need the board as that provides other voltages that are used elsewhere in the controller.
